I’m Kate Tushti a Yogi of many years who decided in 2018 to become a Yoga Teacher. I took the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course and then completed my Teacher Training with the Mandala Yoga Ashram in Wales.
I love that I can offer and teach both Mat and Chair Supported Classes.
I use and offer my Students appropriate props (yoga blocks, bricks and straps) to support the body in practising the physical postures of Yoga (Asana). This assists in making Asana more comfortable and accessible for the body … especially helping with flexibility and balance.
My Mat and Chair Classes aim to make Yoga accessible to Every Body … because Yoga is for Every Body.
Various aspects of Yoga feature in my weekly Classes in addition to the physical postures & movement … there is Breath Awareness (Pranayama), Calming Meditation, Deep Relaxation, Mantra and just a tiny bit of Philosophy for context.
Mantra, the Yoga of Sound, led me to train and become qualified as a Sound Practitioner and Therapist. I trained for a year with Academy of Sound graduating in 2023.
I want to enjoy and share as many of these practises as I can in my Classes, Workshops, One to One sessions, on Day Retreats and at Festivals with people who want to feel better physically, mentally and emotionally. For people who value and want to Think, Feel and Be Free.
I welcome Every Body to my classes. There’s a place for Yoga & Sounds in Every Body. You are not too thin, too fat, too stiff, too old, too [insert your own word here] to do Yoga or to enjoy the benefits of Sounds. If you have a Body then you’re good to go!
